The Lord Is Returning Soon
If you’ve been reading my posts you might be wondering, “What in the world happened to this woman?”
God. God happened.
One of my new favorite passages of scripture is 2 Chronicles 20. It’s one of many passages of scripture that demonstrate how God fights on behalf of His people when they turn to Him for help.
In fact, it’s a perfect outline for how to approach God when trouble shows up on your doorstep. Now that I think of it, I’ll write about that too because it’s a beautiful picture of exactly how to approach God in prayer.
But there’s another reason why I greatly appreciate this passage these days.
I’ve personally experienced what happened to one of the men in the story. His name was Jahaziel.
To set the scene, Judah is on the verge of being attacked by a great enemy horde made up of multiple nations. In great fear, King Jehoshaphat called a fast, and then he along with the entire country, turned their faces to seek help from the Lord.
While the men are standing there in total vulnerability with their wives and children waiting to see if they’ll be totally annihilated, verse 14 records that the Spirit of the Lord came upon Jahaziel and he started speaking to give the people the Lord’s answer.
In other words, Jahaziel began to prophesy.
I can’t say that I never experienced anything unusual before this season of spiritual refinement.
I’ll just say, things got turned up to me having experiences of biblical proportions.
…and now I understand things in the Bible a lot differently because I’ve actually lived through them just like the people described in its pages.
Here’s what happened to me in early 2023.
Martin and I had just turned in for bed and flicked off the lights. I had rolled over on my side, because that’s how I sleep, and right then I had the sensation of being overshadowed. It’s hard to describe what it felt like. It was as if someone had jumped INTO me but it wasn’t painful or scary.
Instantly I knew it was God. Your spirit just knows.
I was like, “Uhhhhhh. Hello?”
Without my control or intention I began to speak these words out loud:
“Are you listening?”
“Are you listening?”
Needless to say, that grabbed my attention. God had something to say.
There was an uncomfortable pause. I waited wide-eyed to see what would happen next.
After a few minutes had passed, my mouth began to move again without my control.
“The Lord is returning soon”.
“The Lord is returning soon”.
“The Lord is returning soon”.
That was it. I said that statement three times.
I had just prophesied by the Spirit of the Lord!
Revelation 19:10 says that “the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy”.
God didn’t tell me what soon meant.
But I do know we don’t have much time left just by watching what’s unfolding in the world and how it correlates with end times prophecies.
One of those prophecies is in Joel 2:28-29. It reads, “And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh; your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, and your young men shall see visions. Even on the male and female servants in those days I will pour out my Spirit”.
So, yes. The Bible is absolutely true, folks.
The last act in God’s grand plan is unfolding right now.
I am one of many called to send an advanced warning from the Most High.
Are you paying attention?
Or are you still spiritually asleep?
Time is running out.
If you do not know the Lord, you need to meet Him.
If you know about Him, but don’t know Him intimately, you need to make coming into a close relationship with Him the highest priority of your life.
If you’re not walking with the Lord in righteousness and true holiness, repent and then take up your cross daily. Work out your salvation with fear and trembling as commanded in Philippians 2:12.
Do whatever you need to do while you still have the option of doing so.
Jesus is the way. Follow him.
